We've revised our shopping system to work more like other internet shopping sites, so if you have some experience with online shopping, it should be very familiar to you. If you are new to online shopping, the information below will help you place your first order.
If you aren't already there, go to the Online Store by clicking the Click To Shop button on the home page. This will take you to the main page of our Online Store - the HOME PAGE. Here is where we feature specials, unique one-time offers, and other product updates.
You'll also notice that there is a SEARCH BAR, and a BROWSE button at the top of the page that will allow you to quickly find what you need.
Just enter a word or phrase describing the product and then click the search button to see the results. You may also find an item by its SKU (part number) in exactly the same way -- simply enter the SKU of the product.
Pro Tip: Enter multiple part numbers, separated by a comma (,) if you have several part numbers you would like to find at once. You can then enter the quantity of each item before pressing ANY of the ADD TO CART buttons to add them all simultaneously to your cart with just one click.
If your search phrase returns items that are in multiple categories, a FILTER BAR with the words "Filter by Category" will appear below the search bar. Click on any of the links in the filter bar to limit the results to a specific category. Click on the same link a second time to clear the filter.

If you still cannot locate an item with quick search, then you can BROWSE for it by Category. Do this by clicking the BROWSE button and then select any of the titles from the dropdown menu to see a complete listing of products in that category.
The Search Results listing will display the items that match your query. And now it's time to make a selection... Select one or more items for ordering by entering the quantity and then click any of the ADD TO CART buttons to add them all to your shopping cart. If you need more information about an item before purchasing it, click on it's picture or name to display the Product Detail screen. This screen will display a larger image of the product and complete information for it.
The shopping cart contains all of the items you've selected for purchasing along with their prices and sub-totals. You can make changes to your selections from here by editing quantities or deleting items. Delete an item by setting the quantity to zero. Remember to always click the Update Subtotals button after altering your shopping cart to update it, otherwise your changes will not be recorded. From the shopping cart page, you can now go back and shop for more items, or you can move on to the checkout section.
The checkout section is the last stop to make before sending off your order. Here, you'll tell us where to send your order, how you would like us to ship it, and how you intend to pay for it. The checkout section is completed in three easy steps:
The first step is to give us your billing and shipping information. We'll use this information to determine the shipping services that are available to your area and the corresponding charges. Please provide enough information to deliver your package. In particular, we will require your e-mail address to send you an order confirmation and to contact you if there's a problem with your order.
Upon completing the billing and shipping information section, we will calculate and display the shipping options that we offer to your destination. Select a shipping method from the list (the default selection is the most economical) and click the Continue button to proceed. Our carriers of choice are shown in the selection listing, but if you have a different preference, please indicate this in the Special Instructions section of the order form and we will try our best to accommodate you.
The last step in checking out is to review your order and then provide a method of payment. Take a close look at your order to make sure that it is accurate. You can always return to the shopping section to modify your order by selecting View Cart, or Shop Online from the menu bar.
Use the Special Instructions area of the order form to give us any additional information that you think we'll need to know to correctly process your order.
And finally, select the type of credit card you want to use to pay for your order and enter its number, expiration date, and cardholder's name. We gladly accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DISCOVER credit cards. And as a reminder, your entire order -- especially your credit card information -- will be encrypted the most trusted security system on the internet. See our security section for more details.
One final check... click the TRANSMIT button... and done. That's it! Your order will be processed and sent on its way usually within 24 hours.
back to top ▲In most instances, just typing a few keywords will do a good job of finding what you're looking for, but there will be times where it will return too much (or too little) information, regardless of how you phrase your query. In those cases you will need to do a more advanced search to zero in on your target, and there are several ways to do it.
1. Be more specific: If you're looking for rivets and typed the word rivets, you would probably get back a lot more than just rivets. That's because the search engine will return everything with the word rivet in it. That includes: rivet sets, rivet guns, etc. On the other hand, had you typed in the term solid rivets, or even aluminum rivets, you would probably have more luck.
2. Use quotes to narrow the search: Place quotation marks around a search term to command the search engine to find only those instances where the words inside the quotation occurs exactly as entered. For instance, sarching for air drill would return all items that have words air and drill somewhere in them, regardless of position or order. So, the result would not only include air drills, as expected, but may also include items such as air drill bits, or even drilling air regulator. Placing quotations around the term (i.e. "air drill") will return only those items that have the words air drill in them in that order.
3. Use a wildcard (*) to broaden the search: On the other hand, when searching for a specific part by its part number (SKU), sometimes you may get less than expected if you are too specific. For instance, if you enter 2E, then you will get only one result -- namely the product with part number 2E (a Differential Pressure Tester). But you may have been looking for our 2EM or maybe the 2E-60. In which case, you should use a wildcard search by placing an asterisk (*) at the end -- like this: 2E*. The asterisk tells the search engine that you want to see all part numbers beginning with with 2E, which of course would include all of the above mentioned products. Try it!
A wildcard search is also very handy for finding a product by size or length since most of our products have part numbers that end with the item's size. So, if you are trying to find all of our 4-4 rivets (1/8" dia x 1/4" long), then you could simply enter *4-4. The asterisk at the beginning in this case means that you want to see all products whose part number ends with that size. The same goes for drill bits and pilot cutters: if you enter *-40, you will see all of our cutting products that are #40 in size (i.e 012-12K-40, 1000-100-40, 2014-40, etc.).

back to top ▲We can ship to anywhere in the United States and to most locations around the world. Our preferred means of shipment are UPS, FedEx, and the United States Postal Service (USPS). These carriers have proven to be both reliable and cost-effective. They also offer a wide variety of services to meet your delivery needs.
We always strive to find the most economical way to deliver your order, and sometimes that means your order will ship for FREE. But please be aware that this is not guaranteed, as we are sometimes constrained by the weight of your shipment relative to its value.
As a general rule, orders to U.S. destinations with a value over $300 and of nominal weight are most likely to ship for free. But again we must emphasize that this is not written in stone: some orders are simply too heavy, or of too low a value to qualify. But rest assured that we will always offer the lowest shipping rates possible.
Any offer of free shipping applies only to standard shipments within the United States (including Alaska, and Hawaii). If you choose to have your package delivered by one of our priority services, then you will be charged additional shipping. The amount of which is based on the weight of the package, its destination, and the type of delivery service.
Distributor and open account orders are not eligible for free shipping.
Some of our products are either too large or too heavy to ship by standard means and must be shipped via freight service. This is not a standard shipping option, and we will use it only for those items which cannot be shipped by any other means. Freight service items do not qualify for free shipping and at checkout your shipping options will be limited to only freight services. Freight shipments to destinations within the United States will be transported via Motor Freight, while shipments going to international destinations will be via Air Freight. In either case, delivery may take up to two weeks and may not be available to all destinations. Please contact us for further details regarding such shipments.
back to top ▲International customers: while placing your order is a straightforward process, getting your package delivered can sometimes be a tricky affair. We use UPS, FedEx, and Mail (USPS) to deliver the vast majority of our international orders. These carriers have excellent reliability and we rarely have delivery problems with them -- provided they have an accurate address. So for you, it is especially important that you give us an accurate address. Please feel free to use the special instructions section of the order form to provide as much additional information as possible to ensure that our carrier will successfully deliver your package.
Another area of concern is the cost of shipping your package. For obvious reasons, we cannot extend our offer of free shipping to our international customers. Therefore, your order will always incur some shipping charges. If you do not specify otherwise, we will always ship your package by the most economical means. In all cases your package should arrive in 5 to 7 business days.
Tariffs, taxes (VAT), and import duties will also add to the cost of delivering your package. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges -- they are imposed by the officials of your country and must be paid by everyone. Please contact your local commerce office to find out how much your country charges for these duties.
