It provides the strength and stability needed to support larger aircraft, while maintaining the low profile needed to get under smaller low-wing aircrafts. It's a design unique to the Universal Jack series that allows it to easily convert from a 26" low wing jack to a 32" (or 38") standard jack, thus avoiding the high cost of having to purchase a set of model-specific jack. And the 8 ton capacity makes it suitable for lifting just about any General Aviation aircraft with a gross weight of up to 16 tons. The Universal Jacks now come with "Tilt-n-Go" wheels for easy movement.
